The morning of Penelope and Adrian’s Tuscany wedding started under a sky of dark clouds. Rain seemed to be unavoidable, but Penelope was adamant that her wedding would take place outdoors. Whilst the sky around the wedding venue was not promising anything positive, the team of Tuscany Wedding Planners were setting up hoping to not have to switch to our plan B.
The elegant sound of the Cello at the ceremony, was accompanied by the distant rumbling of thunder, but Penelope and Adrian’s marriage were blessed with luck. They were officially married on the Terrace of their beautiful Tuscany wedding venue with views over the Florentine countryside.
Villa Medici has a garden naturally divided into two by a gravel path. As Tuscany wedding planners, we decorated the path with candles and vases of white hydrangeas and roses. On the right-hand side of the garden, the aperitif and lounge area were set up under the shade of big trees, candles and vases of white hydrangeas. On the left-hand side, the open garden with direct views of the Florentine countryside was where dinner took place, under a sky of fairly lights.
Penelope envisioned an elegant but not extravagant wedding, therefore white and silver was the obvious combination. With such a simple combination the right choice of flowers were key to achieving an elegant feel. Each table was decorated with three vases of white roses, white callas and white tulips. Silver candleholders and tealights alternated the vases of flowers, all in different heights, to create a more dynamic result.
A tasteful Tuscany menu of local delicacies was followed by an evening in the Villa’s Orangery, where guests enjoyed dancing and an open bar until the early hours of the morning.
