Tuscany Wedding at Villa La Foce
Fashion blogger Elizabeth and husband-to-be Frank, dreamt of a Villa La Foce wedding the second I showed them the venue online. After many e-mails and Skype calls to kick of the planning of their American wedding in Tuscany, I had the pleasure to meet them both on a warm September evening in Los Angeles. I was straight away captured by the elegance and kindness of this couple. A year later, their wedding day reflected this couple beautifully.
After 10 years together, Elizabeth and Frank pronounced their vows in the breath-taking Italian gardens of Villa La Foce, with the stunning views of Val D’Orcia in the background and accompanied by the romantic music of a string and oboe quintet.
Following the aperitif in the Villa’s upper gardens, dinner was served in the courtyard at the front of the Villa. Due to an uncertain weather forecast, we opted to set up the wedding dinner reception in a draped marquee which we beautifully decorated with foliage on the sides, fairly lights and chandeliers.
Guests enjoyed a typical Italian four course dinner, served at round tables, elegantly decorated with golden rimmed baseplates and cutlery and alternating high and low flower arrangements.
After dinner all guests moved towards the swimming pool area which was lit up with romantic candlelights and lounge seating for guests to enjoy a late summer Tuscany evening. The party took place in the indoor Orangerie overlooking the pool, decorated with a chequered dancefloor and where a fantastic live band from London entertained guests until the early hours of the morning.
