NOREEN & SEBASTIAN'S WEDDING IN PUGLIA

Since the very first contact, Noreen and I had an instant connection and felt we would love to work together. Despite being undecided between a wedding in Italy or Spain, a few days after our first call, Noreen and Sebastian jumped on a plane and we met in Puglia. Totally trustful that I had understood their requirements and vision, they let me show them some of the best Puglia wedding venues in this amazing part of Italy. It only took the time of the flight back home to decide they would have a luxury wedding in Puglia.

In spite of Covid, Noreen and Sebastian did not get disheartened and hoped till the end that no restrictions would be in place at the time of their luxury wedding in Puglia. Luckily so, and although with half of the guests originally planned, Noreen and Sebastian finally tied the knot in the magical setting of Masseria San Domenico, a luxury Puglia Resort.

Noreen had a clear theme in mind for her Italian wedding day, a secret garden style. And after getting to know the couple, I was adamant to create a design which would reflect their vision as much as their charming personalities. Therefore, my aim was to achieve a natural earthy look with a fun and joyful, unflamboyant touch by playing with a few different elements.

The ceremony vision took shape with a tasteful mix of white sofas, armchairs, iron wrought chairs and light green poufs. Wildflowers and foliage were carefully placed as if growing on and around the seating, which ended into a rich arch to frame the couple. A white piano played romantic notes for the couple to walk down the aisle.

We took no risk for the evening and went for a sheltered option for dinner. However, instead of a traditional marquee, we choose a natural stretch tent. To give it a more ‘earthy’ feel, we decorated the inside with drapes of lights, greenery on the edges with flowers and foliage compositions. For the centrepieces of the imperial wooden tables, we created a romantic yet wild and organic set up, by incorporating very distinctive details, such as silk runners, roses but also moss and succulents.
